This is mine, same as this pic taken from the Notebookreview review of the Aero 15. According to your measurements we have the same thickness but yours is about 1 inch shorter and 1 inch wider. Actually I would prefer a shorter adapter so I don't see what all of the fuss is about honestly. They are probably the same weight.

There are settings where you can close the lid and the screen goes off but it does not sleep.
Control Panel/Power Options/Change what the power buttons do

Aero 15X "large" charger vs Razer Blade 14" charger and Blu-ray.

That is MASSIVE! What are the specs of the adapter? Model, voltage, ampere, watt?

I also have the sockfish adapter, bought from a Gigabyte store in central Taipei. (No USB.)

Strangely enough, the Razer blade's plug fits into the Aero 15x. The rating is 19V 7.9A vs 19.5V 10.3A. Would there be any damage in using the Razer charger on the Aero 15?

The voltage should be around 19,5. 19v is okay, a modern laptop can handle a small offset above or under, but more than 10% off isn't adviced.

For the ampere it is different. Never go much lower than the laptop's standard. Higher doesn't matter. It can even help the adapter because it won't have to work at it's full capacity. Ampere is all about how much power it can deliver to the laptop.
The amount of ampere the laptop asks is relative. When you are doing higher performance task, the laptop will ask for higher ampere than when it is idle. If your laptop asks more (for example during a game) and the adapter can not deliver the power, that could cause problem with possible hardware damage.

The wattage does not matter, that is how efficient the adapter is (power consuming wise).

So for your adapter, I wouldn't advise you to use it with high performance gaming tasks.
