    Hello all,

I am writing here because I am frustrated about something is happening to me with this unit. As you might already know, the laptop itself is super in terms of mobility and performance, two points that are a must for a nomad developer like me.

Well, a few months ago I had to send this lovely Aero 14 for repairment since the touchpad was not working well. I noticed the laptop's frame that is next to the touchpad (the anterior one) was like split just in the middle. If i tried to apply pressure to the frame upwards with my fingers, the "click" that you feel when you press it behaves fine, but when I don't it was just hard to "press".

So after getting it repaired (some pieces were replaced) I thought it was new, but 1 month later I had to start using the laptop again I noticed the touchpad felt weird, thus I checked for that plastic, and then I noticed flame split I thought it was gone forever was again, just in the middle.

Can anyone else owning this unit please to check what i am talking about and tell me if the frame is cracked/split in the middle next to the touchpad?

IS this model really THAT sensitive?

    Thanks

Interesting! I've only had mine a couple months but I do not have a crack on the front. I wonder what can cause that?

I am also wondering the same! Thanks for the confirmation! I've got no clue but it's the SECOND time it gets cracked right there!

Are you also carrying it inside laptop a bag/bagpack? If yes, which kind of? It's so frustrating... I even always use a neopren case....

Yes I use both the messenger-style bag and also the vertical bagpack. I'm trying to figure out where the damage could have been done but I guess at this point it's not possible.

One more thing, have you seen some marks/scars on the screens plastic bezel? It's also funny to see how their eagerness to get a very thin laptop made them think it'd be a good idea to leave such small space between the screen and the rest of the laptop's body. Result: Since the screen is somewhat flexible, apply some pressure and voilà, scars for life.

I love this laptop, but argh............... And yes I move with it it every day, do you?

a laptop should be able to be carried in a messenger bag ofcourse. Unfortunately when I used a P34W V3 this was not the case. They would all bend in my bag, even though it was heavily padded. They jsut use the crapiest materials available.
