    Hi,

    I need a laptop for

    * streaming video (NetFlix, Sky Go, Amazon video ) via HDMI cable to my 22 inch 1080p LCD TV
    * LogMeIn to my work desktop
    * general web browsing / Skypevideo etc.

    I have a budget of around £400 - £500 (UK).

Would a 6th Generation Core i3 with 8GB RAM be good enough or do I need Core i5 or 7th Generation?

Thanks for your help and advice

    Philip

Pretty much anything would do what you want, even the slowest Atom based laptop.

Sure. You may want to consider the FAQ stuck at the top of this forum and post back. That would help us narrow the field. Since you're in the UK, I would suggest hitting the Dell UK Outlet, which can offer excellent value, particularly with coupons found via the Dell UK Outlet Twitter account. Something like the Latitude E5470 might be a good fit if you can find one under budget. I would suggest the 1080p screen as it's an IPS LCD, which will offer you very good PQ.
