I need some advice please. I have been a long time Razer fan. The 2016 was to be my 3rd Blade and I have all Razer peripherals on my desktop. Last Thursday I submitted a request to cancel my Blade order because I got one from Best Buy. Razer drug their feet and let it ship anyway. The rep told me just to refuse the package.

Unfortunately, FedEx found Razer had put the wrong zip code on the package. They called me about this and I told them I was going to refuse it anyway. So they went ahead and returned the package to Razer's shipping/receiving facility in Ontario, CA (confirmed via FedEx). Here's where the problem starts. Razer is refusing to acknowledge that they have the package. They say because FedEx says 'delivered' - even though it was delivered to them - that I have to file a police report. Besides disputing the charge, what else can I do to avoid being defrauded? They have over $2,000 of my money and I have nothing...

This is a very simple problem to solve, with one 5-minute phone call.

Call your credit card, and dispute the charge. Tell them that you refused a package for a $2,000 laptop, and that it was returned to the seller. Give your credit card company the FedEx tracking number. And then your job is done.

Your credit card will issue a chargeback to Razer, and give you a courtesy (temporary) credit of $2,000 while they investigate the disputed claim. It will then be Razer's responsibility to prove (which they cannot) that they delivered a laptop to you. After 60 days, the disputed charge claim will be automatically resolved in your favor, and the temporary $2,000 credit will become permanent.

One of the very reasons you pay for things by credit cards is for this kind of purchase protection.

Thanks for the response. Razer's supposed 'customer service' has completely stopped responding. I've heard all the horror stories but this is the first time I've been affected. I just hope my CC card company rules in my favor. Otherwise I guess I'll have to sue to get my money back

This story is terrible. I agree with Kent about talking to your credit card company. Any decent credit card company will side with its consumers while it investigates this purchase. Shame on Razer for making it so difficult.

I never received the Blade from Razer. That's the whole issue. THEY have it but refuse to refund my money

If, for some reason, my CC company rules against me on the dispute does anyone know what kind of lawyer and/or lawsuit I'd need to get my money back? This would be for a company failing to refund for a product which was never delivered to the customer

Small Claims court. I suspect they will resolve it very fast once they see you are serious ... but your CC company should help you out for sure. Good luck with this.
