I’ve recently been experiencing some really ****ty pop-up ads on this website on mobile. Get a popup that I won an iPhone 7 or whatever and then can’t close the ad. If I do it redirects me to some scam website and I can’t get back.

This makes navigating the forums a real pain and I’m also worried about malware from this stuff.

I’ve attached a screenshot of what I mean.

    I'll ping the developers.

We don't have much control over the ads, I can tell you that much.

OP, you might try using Google Chrome.

Or try the Tapatalk app. Our forum is available on there.

If you are using an android phone
You can root it and use lucky patcher to block ads.

I used my ipad on safari for like 3 hrs last night on this page and never saw one ad. I think the OP's service provider or something is tossing them in. Just checked my Iphone too....the same thing...no ads.

Thanks, I noticed these ads on some other websites as well. Seems to be something with the ad provider? Either way it just redirects you to a fake amazon or google page saying that you've won an iPhone 7 or Samsung Galaxy 7 and you have to fill in some info. Can't get away from the ad once it pops up.
I have an ad blocker installed yes, doesn't seem to catch this.

It happens occasionally. Also on a select amount of other websites. Always the same. I'd doubt my ISP would be trying to scam me though.

Yeah...depending where you live...you just never know. Just trying to offer suggestions on whats happening. It is odd though. I have yet to see an ad like that on NBR.

We're like other sites, we integrate with the ad services and what is actually shown to the user ...generally not up to us.
So yeah, really hard to troubleshoot but like I said I can at least get it looked at. Thanks for the heads-up.

In Adguard add mobile ads filter, annoyance filter. See if it helps. You might try switching to Google DNS or OpenDNS.
