Managed to prod myself in the hand with the soldering iron while re-doing my PSU connector (adding insulation to ensure no shorting).

Welcome to the club! You shall now receive your electronics DIY badge because we all know you gotta get burnt at least once by a soldering iron  It's not a matter of if, but when:)

Doesn't look all that bad. Should be fine within a day or so.

Only this time I won and got the job done ^-^

I got under cold water pretty quickly along with moving the iron off pretty quickly so it's not bad really.

Anyone else had any soldering accidents?

I've done the same thing with my finger when attempting to repair my old Satellite. Did the same thing with cold water and I forgot about it 15 minutes later. I get worse burns from the Hot BBQ sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings :p

Soldering irons have nothing on making borax glass beads. When those make contact with your skin they sometimes actually melt into you and stay until they have cooled off and hardened.

I see. Because glass blowers and the like don't actually use protective gloves right?
