    Hi,

I'm just bought a Aspire 7750G that is advertized to have a USB 3.0 port both by the retailer I bought from and Acer's official website but when the laptop arrived there was no USB 3.0 port.

I'm trying to deal with Acer support to get some sort of reimbursement but I've not had any luck.

Has anyone dealt with Acer support with similar situation?

    Thanks,

Are you sure it doesn't have it?
It should be the one closer to the DVD drive with blue plastic in it. (pic)

Positive, I have a Y570 which has 2 USB 3.0 ports and I can see them clearly (blue) on laptop not to mention in the device manager it shows as NEC USB 3.0 hub.

On the 7750G no blue port and nothing in the device manager even when my Hitachi Touro Mobile Pro USB 3.0 external is connected to any of the ports maximum transfer rate is 30mb.

It's weird because there are 7750Gs with USB 3 for sure so they must have run out of USB 3 boards or something.

I'm not sure if they are going to go for parts or even a partial refund or just suggest you return the notebook. It's worth a try though.

I got setup for a replacement/repair service from Acer support.

I spoke with Acer 2nd level support and they said they're going to make sure the laptop gets a USB 3.0 port as advertised, so either they going to send me a new laptop or get a USB 3.0 board and port into the laptop which ever is easier I guess.

Still very disappointed since I just got the laptop and already have to send it in for service, it's not as bad as it sounds since nothing on the laptop is broken however Acer did not deliver a product as advertised on their website.

Fair enough. Hopefully they'll be quick about it.
