bigger Windows Precision trackpad and better rigidity than GX501. Still cheaper than the 15 inch MacBook Pro lol

looks like it can fit 17 inch screen from the bezels lel

Yup, it looks so big I had to go back and make sure it was a 15.6" screen. Too bad it doesn't have a 17.3" screen. A 60hz IPS in that size would likely overclock to 100hz.

It's an IPS panel, which is great, better views and colors than those fast TN panels.

IDK what everyone's fascination with thin notebooks with 120 FPS capable screens is about, they are diametrically opposing desires.

His temperature demo was running for hours in "Whisper Mode" which locks FPS to 40, which is way below 120 FPS, so what's the point of saying a 120hz panel is better than a 60hz panel when you run at 40FPS?? Crazy people :)

If you run Max-Q at full power to try to reach 120 FPS in games you over power the thin chassis and cooling (and power) by running at 100% GPU /CPU performance to try to reach 120 FPS, which is going to run hot and loud.

If you want 120 FPS in a laptop, get a real 1080 and a full sized chassis with real cooling and power support to get the best performance.

120 FPS is ridiculous in a thin laptop with a Max-Q 1080, and even sillier - but much cheaper - with a Max-Q 1070, even the most expensive example will have trouble reaching 120 FPS in most AAA games at 1080p.

You'll be reducing in game quality so far you'll ruin the game visuals. Except for competitive gaming in games where they reduce the quality to zilch to get the best frame rate, it's a silly thing to do in games you are trying to enjoy the views while enjoying the game.

4k is also not attainable even at 60hz. 120hz and 120 FPS can't be reached without reducing in game quality to low levels, 60hz IPS is still best :)

He mentioned It also has G-Sync, but that means definitely no Optimus, so battery life is just lackluster.

I think "Whisper Mode" intentionally throttling constantly is better than (heavy) throttling during full load under strained thermal,
It's like comparing a bunny that can put out fast bursts but then tires out quickly, and a turtle that runs slow but remains constant throughout.

Obviously on this design, the trackpad is there only for emergencies, like when one forgets their mouse.

I wouldn’t rely on wireless mouse with this flawed design. Damn, imagine, when the battery in your mouse becomes empty and all you have is... Yeah, you know:D
