Having seriously annoying issue with my 3d tv and the triton 700. It shows a red watermark message when I enable 3d.

Issues I'm having. Have to disable primary laptop monitor for nvidia to recognize TV as 3d. Didnt have this issue with my MSI Titan, which allowed me to make it 3d in extended mode.

After turning off my main laptop display and setting up 3d mode:

3d in powerdvd when playing a local mk3d file in 3d on the tv show a huge red message on top stating "Prototype Test Only. NVIDIA Confidential. Not For Production. Not For Release."

I've tried updating my Nvidia drivers but it didnt help...

Cant try usb c or display port bc all my adapters are miniDP lol :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your GPU isn't licensed for 3d. Same error message, likely the same cause. I guess your GT83 GPU(s) were licensed for 3d, which is why no error message.

According to Nvidia something screwy is going on here as I was using a licensed 3d video playing software (eg. PowerDVD) that falls into the 3rd category and does not require a license to play videos:

It's not the app that's different, it's the GPU. Of course they are trying to change the subject, they are trying to stall you in returning your laptop. Pretty standard.

Actually Nvidia said I should contact Acer about it... I wouldn't say they were trying to stall me.

Sure they are. They know that the error is from a non-licensed GPU, they could have told you that, but that would have initiated a return, so they confused the situation by bringing in the software - classic misdirect - and are now putting it on Acer to tell you.

Both will try to run down the return time period clock until it's too late for you to return it, and you are "stuck with it".

I'm already past the return period LOL. Even if the GPU isn't licensed the software is...

Well, I think you told Microcenter you were in a hurray to swap out the bulging Zephyrus due to going on your trip this summer, and you didn't have time to check out the Triton 700 completely, I think you have a reason to return on an extended time period - just like the Zephyrus, I'd give it a shot.

    The new Helios 500 8950HK + 1070 looks pretty sweet. :)
