kizwan as always your flashes are impeccable, you're such an asset to this community!
    Thank you.

Yes you are correct there is no raid controller on this Quanta 30D1 Ver.8526 mainboard (HP Pavilion dv9823cl Entertainment Notebook PC).

But in the boot options, is there a boot to SATA, RAID, AHCI or SCSI device option? Because the hard disk shows up in the BIOS under SATA 0 but when it boots up it shows no operating system.

kizwan, will you please give me one more chance to improve preformance and find the boot options SATA, RAID, AHCI or SCSI device. And in the boot order please. Thanks Again!

The default settings is IDE. So when you change the settings to AHCI, you'll need to reinstall windows at least. If you want set SATA to AHCI mode, make sure SATA0 Mode set to AHCI & SATA AHCI mode set to Enabled. Then reinstall windows.

Regarding on how to improve the performance, you'll need to use 3rd party tools for that, like SetFSB. OR upgrade the processor.

Hi there, I really appreciate your bold attempt. I have the same chipset i945PM and my Windows Task Manager only use 3070GB RAM although Vista can see 4GB RAM installed on my lappy. I appreciate you & Kizwan contribution in solving 4GB limitation :)
