    Hi,
I want to share with all my work of replacing original keyboard without backlight with new one with backlight on my laptop.
    The mod is explained here:
    http://www.asinet.org/projects/acer-e5-575g-backlit-keyboard-mod/
and if you have any questions, please ask.
Try to see your motherboard for place for connecting backlight cable of keyboard.
If you have it, you need to buy a keyboard with backlight (costs about 15-25EUR), solder only 4 parts and that's all.
You can turn on/off by Fn+F9.

Yes, originally this laptop does not come with backlit feature.
When I broke my keyboard and start look up for new one, I was surprised that for this model there is in market a keyboard with backlight
not much more expensive from a keyboard without backlight. Maybe the same model laptop but with different suffixes comes with backlit keyboard.
The lucky moment was, when I found that on the mother board of laptop there is a place tor connecting backlight cable () and BIOS can manage the backlight. Of course you have to solder some components.

Hi there, i own a similar laptop to yours, the aspire e5-576G, which has the exact same layout so i guess i can do this mod you did on my laptop with the same keyboard, my motherboard even has that connector that you needed to solder on to yours, it's just that the default keyboard doesn't have and backlight. But can i ask how did you remove the keyboard, because my laptop's keyboard has a metal plate that is riveted into place by plastic clips, and i don't know how to remove that, other than sticking a soldering iron into it, which i'm not comfortable doing. Thanks.
