    Wow nice! Thanks a lot for this information.

    One more tweak to add to the list. I was annoyed by the CPU fan turning on/off constantly, so I drilled some holes in the case to increase the amount of cool air sucked in by the fan. Here is a photo:

    It really helped. The CPU fan now rarely turns on, and when it does, it just works for a bit and then turns off. I haven't done any before/after temperature measurements, but I think it is about 4C difference and it helps to cool down the CPU much faster.

    You have sparked my interest to mod my EC on my Acer 5552.
    So far I have figured out these EC values:

    Code:
    Register

    Brightness = 0-9 Value
    0xB9

    Wi-Fi Control = 44(off), 46(off), 05(off), 07(on)
    0xBB

    Trackpad = 00(on), 08(off)
    0x9E

    Constantly Changing Values (fan?)
    0xDA = 01 to 0A
    0xDB = 00 to 0F
    0xDC = 00 to 4C

    Unknown
    0xD6 = 9C or 9B

    0xF1 = 00 or 01

    0xAB = 08 or 09

    Battery Status

    0xD0 00 When AC Connected. Variates without AC
    0xD1 Same as above.
    I wanted to say thanks for the guide. I will be tinkering very much. I've already encountered quirks...I set the refresh rate of RW Everything to 100ms and it caused interruption of battery info...so my laptop kept sleeping.

    Where can i find the schematics on how to connect an USB connector to the secondary PCIe slot in my 3820T (not TG!) ?

    The search function on this forum is crappy, and with Google i also can't find it...

    I want to assemble my keyboard but I could not.

    holder.jpg

    I found this on near the laptop. I can not move the keyboard even this holder fell.

    How can I move this kb? And is it possible to fix the holders?
