Is there a slim chance that the hot air will be pushed out thru another vent since the other fan will be pushing air out.

looks like a good idea, because my 3820tg is on my legs and the bottom holes are closed this way. if the air flows from one side to the other it cloud be better for cooling ...

There's not enough room accross the top nor bottom of the mainboard for this to work.

From a mechanical point of view, it's not possible to make the air flow that way easily. Look at the fan blades; they're flat. They fan is housed in a closed metal housing. Regardless of which way the fan spins, it will still suck and blow the 'correct' ways and there would be no air movement over the board.

If you have the 3820 without ATI GPU, you could make the air flow in to the case easier but you'd have to mod a custom housing for the fan to sit on. There's still not enough room over the top or bottom of the board for it to properly flow though.

Good idea, nice in theory, but not possible.

Haven't heard anything about the display brightness on Intel Graphics only mode for a while. Are there any updates on this issues, or any work in progress?
