Not, that would be some really hard modification. I am doing the BIOS switching exactly 2 times every day, its not that hard :)

What exactly is the attraction of being able to switch graphics in bios? does it prolong battery?

For me its night and day:
    - disables automatic switching
    - being able to use the latest official stable drivers, directly from the AMD/Intel. No more buggy Acer drivers, or community hacked watermarked hybrids.

Sorry but I'm a designer and not that computer savvy. I mainly work in adobe design suite, is there an advantage to working with the ati-card instead of the intel-card?

Also when I have ati-card activated both cards show in the device-manager, but when I switch to intel-card the ati-card does not show in device-manager. If I set it to run the intel-card all the time, is disabling switchable graphics necessary to update to latest intel drivers then? Hope you understand, the question is a bit messy.

    hello, _InKr_ , prikolchik.

I have a question: can we control the GPU fan by modifying bios with RBE? I modify "fan settings" in bios, but it doesn't works actually! GPU fan doesn't spin when temp is lower than 75℃.

No. RBE settings does not affect GPU fan speed.

In BIOS (KBC) there are several temp/speed tables for GPU fan control. You should find right one for your laptop and make corrections there.

    You have two choice:
    - use the option switchable and use the latest Acer or community modded Hybrid drivers.
    - use the modded BIOS and switch every time between IGD and PEG in the Intel menu. On the other hand if you never use 3D or HDMI, then you can set it to IGD and forget it.

You can try using CS5 on the Intel card, maybe with the latest drivers from Intel.com it works well. I found the latest Intel drivers to be very good and stable. But this way you cannot use HDMI port.
    1. Use modded BIOS,
    2. set it to IGD,
    3. download and install the latest Intel drivers from Intel.com.

Use the profile: balanced or gaming from my fan controller mod:
