    How? File->Load Bios?

    I've got message "Unable to open file. Invalid file name specified"

    Any advices?

    --------------------------------------

    PhoenixTool creates a "DUMP" in a folder where bios file placed. Ok. I've got it!

    I've opened OPROM01.ROM using RBE. Edit frequencies. Push "Save Bios". Save as "OPROM01.ROM". Means I overwrite it. Then click OK on PhoenixTool window. Then it shows "Slic performed successfully. Bios file is C:\vBios\BIOS_Acer_1.19_Windows\DOS\JM31119_SLIC.WPH"

    What's next? Should I flash this file? Asking because when I open JM31119_SLIC.WPH in PhoenixTool, RBE shows me the same freqs. as before modifications. Where I'm wrong?

    Well, I couldn't wait and flash my bios with JM31119_SLIC.
    I deleted JM31119, rename JM31119_SLIC to JM31119 and flash my bios from DOS. And no changes! It's still 550\800 instead of 600\900 I entered into RBE. :-\

    No no no. KBC and BIOS are totally separete files in the 3820TG and have different flasher. For switchable graphics, you will need to follow the post in my signature! You can either go with:
    - modded BIOS flashing
    - or SYMCMOS.exe

    I would suggest you to use SYMCMOS.exe.

    Ah ok, I understand (read it a little fast). Thank you for quick answer.

    Do you think turning off switchable graphics and new graphics driver will fix the fact that I can't change screen brightness on my out of the box 3820TG? Whatever I set brightness to it stays on maximum brightness.

    Yes, of course! Just uninstall the old driver, and download the latest ones from amd.com and intel.com. From AMD use the mobility one!

    Of course?:rolleyes: I can't see how the driver can affect that, you cant control the monitors brightness with either the intel or ATI gfx card.

    I flashed modded bios, now I can switch in intel menu.

    Is it possible to have while bios loading(or somewhere there), menu for change vga option? ... It means When I turn on notebook I have option for change vga for some time(e.g. 5seconds)
