A friend of mine will be purchasing a notebook soon, and his upper-limit is $1500. He's not into gaming, thankfully, but I do want to ensure that he gets up-to-date features like eSATA, SPDIF, HDMI, a good display and hardware acceleration of HD video, so these two current models make the grade. Both machines come with Vista and 2GB. I can get the A7K for $1200, and the A7Sv for $1450. Which is the better buy?

    A7K-A1:
    AMD Turion™ 64 X2 TL60 2.0GHz
    ATI Radeon Mobility HD 2600
    5400 160GB hard drive

    A7Sv-A1:
    Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.2Ghz
    NVidia 8600M GS
    4200RPM 200GB hard drive

Personally I'm leaning towards the A7K, because of its faster hard drive, and faster/cooler 65nm graphics card. But perhaps I'm underestimating the importance of having an Intel C2D chip. Thoughts/Opinions?
