so i wanted to buy my first gaming laptop but i don't know much about them.I am thinking of dell inspiron 7567 with its lowest configuration. I was wondering if it would be a good choice and what is it capable of. Would be grateful for any knowledge.

Looks to be an ok first device. You may not be able to play every game at max resolution etc. but should be able to do ok. For the money it looks good. You can upgrade the ram later if you want. and that is a cheap upgrade compared to buying it with the machine.

No problem....Anything else you want to know...fire away. I am looking at getting the same notebook to try gaming on FYI. If I like it more than using xbox/ps I will probably goto a fully optioned alienware, but until then.....This should fit the bill!

You can get $100 off if you purchase it from Bestbuy as a student.

actually i read about it having a TN panel. I was wondering about how much of an effect it would have on the display.

Depends. My inpsiron 13 5000 panel is supposedly the worst of the worst, however I think its fine. That one is a big personal choice. I cannot comment on lcd. I love glossy screen while most detest them.

I would not read into specs toooooo much. Any dell, give it a shot. I have yet to see a bad one in the past few years. Been really enjoying our two devices.
