Ended up putting the card in my m15x, and despite what you told me it works fine. All i had to do was set the LCD to be driven by the internal EDP driver in the unlocked bios. This may work for pascal aswell.

    M15X doesn't have eDP

I'm confused as well, the M15X never had a eDP option available to the wide public, although I do believe it does have an unsoldered eDP connector on the motherboard

The unlocked bios has a setting to drive the LCD via some sort of EDP setting. I turned that on, I don't know if it actually does something or not but my gtx 980m is working in the m15x and its not the 13d7 model its the 1617 one

obviously you should buy a 1060 or 1070 and see if that works then

I want to know a couple of things, what LCD you have, what and where did you get your BIOS, and why does your BIOS have an eDP option? Maybe it was a prototype unit accidentally set out? Who knows...
But is the monitor 120HZ or anhthing, and what is it?
