I have an Asus G50VT, specs are in my sig, simular in every way to this guy:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=407835

He does not say what drivers he using but my 3D Mark06 score is significantly lower than his. I have tried the following drivers and received these results:

    Driver Score
    195.62 8530

    186.82 8376

    186.81 8335

So far, it seems that the 186.81 gets the best performance in game. I understand that a few marks doesnt make a difference but according to the results of the reviewer in the link above I am around 500 points shy of his score of 8975.

Anyone have any ideas as to why my score is this much lower?

    Thanks,

    Adam

EDIT: After doing further research it seems my scores are about right, I dont know what this guy did to achieve those scores, maybe an overlock.

Overclock that thing and you should get a fair bit higher.

Also, not all components are created equal. Some will just simply score better because--all other things being equal--they're blessed with awesome.

Thanks for all the responses, my clock speeds are at stock settings so that would explain it. I just assumed he would post that he OCed his GPU before stating the benchmarks, oh well....Im now using DOX 185.85 and my benchmarks are about the same but in game performance is where I think it should be so Ill quit obsessing.
