    Two Questions.
How many memory slots does the 9100 have?
    I purchased the 512MB model.
Is that 1 512 MB or 2 256 MB installed?
To up grade to 1 GB, would I have to buy a 1 GB or another 512 MB

    Still waiting for arrival,
    Fionan

Yes, unless you paid extra to get one DIMM, you received two.

Smallapple, I apologize but I'm not sure if that cheaper one would work, the stats you give appears to be compatible but I do not want to give you the wrong information. Is there anyway you could contact the memory company to find out for sure?

    Fio,
As for your questions, I believe the 9100 has 2 slots. Hard to say if you ordered 1 512 MB chip or 2 256 MB chips. I would say that if you spent a lot of money on the memory it probably is 1 chip, but again I can't tell unless I saw your order form. Usually Dell lists 1 DIMM or 2 DIMM in parantheses to let you know what you are ordering.

nesbo, I did more research. The cheap one on Kingston site is 184 pin. The expensive one is 200 pin. So I guess I cannot use the cheap one.

    I checked, it's coming with 2 DIMMs.

    Fionan.

BTW. Just got off the phone with Dell and my ship is 22 April, the Customer rep said the P4 chips are out of stock.
