Hi, I apologize if this seems like a stupid question, but I've browsed through the charts at least 3 times now and I just can't quite figure this out...

It seems like the NVidia 2800M has better battery life for casual use than the ATI 8540W does, doesn't it? The screens listed in the specs say 1920x1200, but do not specific whether that's the regular display or the ISP Dreamcolor display. And my head is starting to hurt trying to figure out what other variables there might be, like the cpu used...biggest problem is that there's only a couple of idle times listed for the machines with the ATI 8540W?

    Hi! Thanks for responding. :)

However, I was actually looking at the 2470w machine....

My first priority is to get the Dreamcolor screen, my second priority is trying to maximize battery life as I will be using the computer in coffee shops, etc.

My initial assumption was that the cheapest video card would get the best battery life. The chart isn't clear, but suggestions that maybe the 2nd cheapest video card might get the most battery life? I'd be doing mostly stuff like photo editing, web browsing, stuff like that when on battery.
