680M is OUT!

    I like nvidia too. I got my m18x r2 with 7970m , because at that time this was the best option and I couldt stand with my 4years old laptop, it's dying. Now 680m is coming soon.... things do happens !!! oh my broken heart.......

    sooooo what do the people do that HAVE/ORDERING an m18x r2?
    obviously theyed pick 7970m, but now everyone is talking about how great this card is....is it worth it?!

    and on origin the price is....$500!!!!!! for a single card...then with dual gpu
    $1k plus?

    I feel your pain brother. I just spent $1250 last week on 6990 Crossfire. Still haven't got them installed yet. From the pricing it looks as if I could have bought that setup. I don't get how they price these cards. Like the 6990 is more expensive than the 7970. Makes no sense unless they are basing it on reliability and proven longevity.

    oh yea. so with duo cards option, 500$ above 7970m xf, I'd like to take them. But Im wondering is 4GB vram rly necessary?

    glad i hold on on buying the m18x, now its only a couple weeks at most for alienware to include them but i dont know if i should hold on for windows 8 as well

    I would wait if I were in your situation bro. Your 460m sli is the way10000000times better than my old card which is 9650m gt lmao....

    Windows 8 will featur an "upgrade" option from Win7 for systems purchased after early June.

    There really isn't a compelling reason, from a software standpoint, to wait on a new laptop at this point.

    Exactly. x990M vs the x80M is more apples to apples comparison. I'll wait.
