Customers are more worried than ever about the way their data is used and shared by companies, particularly for analytics, according to a new report.

The Customer State of Mind survey from data protection specialist Trūatashows 60 percent of UK customers are uneasy with companies using their personal data for analytics. Recent high-profile data leaks have also added to this negative perception of the way personal data is managed by brands.

    40% stupid people? 40+60=100%

Brazil surpasses UK in Facebook fine over Cambridge Analytica scandal zdnet.com | Dec 30, 2019

The Brazilian government has fined Facebook following an investigation around the misuse of personal data belonging to nearly half a million users in political campaigns.

The 6,6 million reais ($1.6 million) fine was issued by the country's Ministry of Justice and Public Security and relates to the data misuse scandal by the social networking firm and consultancy Cambridge Analytica, which harvested the personal data of about 87 million Facebook users through a personality quiz app called This Is Your Digital Life.

Pfff, 1,6 million bucks is like pocket change for Zuck and Co.
Arsebook should be fined at least 1,6 billion, which probably still will be not an overly huge sum of money to those cronies...
