I don't believe there are any missing drivers. I will look later after work, if I remember to.

That is the drivers I used. Everything works except that bad driver for:
"AirplaneMode HID Mini-driver for Virtual Keyborad Device"

It does not seem to affect anything, except Windows "Actions recommended" shows a yellow flag.

    • Key words ACPI HID i2C PNP0C50 GPIO

I have MX-16 booting to the password.

The first half second 'after' grub an error flashes by relating to ACPI. ...can't evaluate crs...means an "ACPI issue". Here's some light reading. http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-i2c/msg09018.html

This is the same 1/2 second in which the keyboard and touchpad quit functioning....so no LiveUSB of MX-16.1 yet. :( That efi boot is quick then screeches to a halt.

The tablet part might work if I can get a OSK to load with the password box....because touch works!

Now that I have the key words figured out it's back to VM so see how it is dealt with there. Probably Windows 8.1 loads the drivers and Oracle links to that input. 'cause the keyboard and touchpad work!

Yeppers>>>>On VM it shares 8.1 keyboard and touchpad. But clunky...needing to up the ram used by VID/VHD.

Funny thing is 8.1 wants to format the USB...but the 3E boots from the same stick. I'm running live in CF-53 with the same stick as we speak. (not in efi mode)

I've been writing this on and off for three days (NIGHTS :))

These tablets are very usable as shipped with 8.1 Pro. So of course I want Linux. :D

Here's gparted .....doing this again I would up the fat16 partition to 100Mib. I formatted this a couple weeks ago. Don't know why, but it seems to work.

Windows 8.1 will report it as USB needs formatted! Same machine will boot from it.

My tweaked a little 3E will boot from it in uefi mode. (safe everything off) and as stated above I am running this 53J off the same stick in legacy_boot mode. It just works, ask someone else why.

Some very good advise with 8.1: RUN LIVEUSB BUT DO NOT INSTALL IT. BRICKS ARE VERY LIKELY TO RESULT. (author unknown)

Double post apology. Too much going on to put this in the same post as the last one. :)

I'd be happy running it live off a SanDisk mini.
