Where do I plug in the third ribbon cable on my emmissive keyboard on my 29? There's two on the left, one closer to me and one closer to the monitor. Then there's two smaller ribbon cable thingies to the right on the PCB. Does it go in one of those? I tried the one closer to the screen but it didn't light it up.

I thought it was the one on the right at the top. What happened when you pressed the FN key and the F12 key? That's how mine turns on and adjusts the brightness level.

    mrbungle,
the third one gets plugged into the rear connector towards the back on the right.
You will have to fold the ribbon cable over back towards the front then plug it in. Gold connections side up.
I got one of those same ones and had to do that here..
    watch out..its brite :)

Great! It only took me a couple of hours to figure out the whole FN key thing.

FN Key thing... Hey... Watch your language! j/k

Yes... The Emissive keyboards are cool... But mine does weird stuff like either add a few extra letters or, more often, fails to add double letters. Also when I capitalize things... Sometimes the 2nd letter of the word is capitalized too. I never used to have to run spell-check on my stuff like I do with this keyboard. But I still ike it. It sure beats the rubber one but WOW... Are they ever getting expensive!

I put a rubber one in my work 29 to use on patrol, and the emissive one on my personal one. I'm getting used to this rubber one- I do use it to type reports, but dang that other one is cool.

Even though the F keys don't show the little labels, I'm still glad I got it for $175. He still has one left.

Got mine in also. I personally don't mind not having labeled keys, I remember most of them by heart now anyway. (Or I just keep hitting them until I hit the one I want).
