All the components are behind the LCD, it opens up for ventilation. (in the case you closed it too fast). Not saying I think it's a good idea at any rate.

It takes advantage of convection cooling, natural heat rising from bottom to top, drawing in cool air on the bottom and blowing out hot air 4 ways at the top. It's a great idea and should cool much easier with less fan noise.

Asus said they worked out the heat barrier for the screen, which is about the only danger of the design. That and making it too top heavy.

It's a great idea, IDK if it's enough to get full performance out of the CPU / GPU...

Yeah, I really like that they tried something outside the box. Remains to be seen the drawbacks for any type of balance in real reviews, I can't find any yet. I have no interest in purchasing it, but I'm definitely interested to see how well received it is and how it performs.

If they do come with the 2020 Clevo launch, lets hope it's non-bga soldered piece of garbage or a new mxm standart that doesn't work with current mxm laptops.

Inevitable at any rate. I mean there are already 2 sub variants of 2080 max-q

How about a Titan RTX Max-Q :) Or even a Titan RTX Max-Q SUPER :p Gotta love that TU102.

I mean for as many variants as they love to make of everything, its basically going to happen. The fact that the 2080ti die is coming just shows that.
