    I decided on this preorder today;

    Lenovo Legion 7 (16-inch), Ryzen 9, 32GB RAM, 1TB RAM, RTX 3080, 165Hz QHD

    Tests seem to show that real world difference between 5900HX and 5800H are very minor, but I decided to go all in. Nobody was ever sorry for a extra FPS or two... ;-)

    If the Ryzen 7 gets in stock earlier, I may change my mind, but for now - this is it.

    Jarrod's Legion 7 review dropped.

    Looks like two steps forward (Ryzen, Freesync+G-Sync, better hinges and trackpad, USB-C charging support) and one step back (iCue battery drain and other issues pertaining to keyboard control, defective RGB on the light bar). If you're after a more mid-range specification, the Legion 5 Pro is almost certainly going to be the better option.

    Im glad they improved the hinges, So many people had the same problem with the hinges failing after a few months and there is no excuse for that especially when the Legion 5 has a better hinge design. I still have no idea when they're arriving here in the US nor what the prices will be, I been checking on Reddit everyday to find out but there still no new info and its May so im going to guess they might be released in June

    I have zero concern for this and actually find this a great feature, even at only 115W without DB performance should be amazing and keep fan noise and thermals even cooler.
    Not every game needs the full 150W-165W and having the option to use it or not is a bonus in my eyes.
    Icue software seems pretty useless and would probably disable or just get rid of it altogether to mitigate the battery drain issue

    My order was more or less cancelled as Lenovo pushed the release date with about 2 months. Oh well.

    EDIT: I couldn't wait, so I ended up ordering a Legion 5 Pro instead.

    Anyone find these anywhere in the US? I'd love to get one.

    We have another thread going but I managed to snag a 7i last week prebuilt with 2 day shipping last week. I think the 7 AMD and 7i are going to be identical essentially in performance. 7i with thunderbolt, AMD 7 probably better battery life. If you want one I would check the 7i prebuilt stock on Lenovo's website frequently as it tends to just pop back in stock randomly. Alternatively you can custom order an AMD 7 on Lenovo website. The wait period will say months away, but many have been getting their ship dates moved up sooner. Impossible to get in the US outside of Lenovo directly.
