It looks like Kia is freshening up the entry-level Rio, too-

Wow, even the interior looks like a civic.. My GF drives an 08 coupe, nice try Kia. You know what they say though, imitation is the highest grade of flattery..

I'm just glad that they were more reserved with the Koup's interior design than with the Soul...it's LOUD! But I don't think the Civic and Koup interior look much alike-

That Rio looks pretty good for an entry level vehicle

Yeah, it's definitely an improvement. The next thing they need is a competitive, sporty-looking mid-size sedan to replace the Optima (and a better name, too). The Optima is a good car, but there are several others in the class that are better than 'good'- Accord, Altima, Mazda6, and even the Hyundai Sonata. It will be interesting to see what they bring to the table....

They're working on a 2010 replacement for the full-size Amanti (one of the most pointless vehicles on the market). But with so much room for improvement, it's bound to be significantly better than the current vehicle!

The new Rio has a Euro Focus look to it, not bad.

It's going to have some tough competition with several new subcompacts being introduced to the U.S. market in the next year or so-

    Ford Fiesta
    Mazda2
    VW Polo
possibly even the Fiat 500 as a Chrysler?

Isnt isn't it amazing? They took so long to bring these vehicles, now gas is cheap LOL. Well at least they'll be prepared when gas goes up.

Exactly! And because gas (petrol) is cheap now, we probably won't get the turbodiesel version of any of them...which would be pretty cool! When gas was $5/gallon, Acura was planning to introduce turbodiesel version of the TSX! As soon as gas prices dropped, they cancel the TD and roll out a V6 version instead!
