A friend of mine is buying this car and he was wondering if his insurance premium will go up. By the way, he has a clean record and he is 19.

It can be technically classified as a sports car, so I told him yes. Drinking my Henny, I have been wondering if my answer was right or wrong.

Such a nice car in white.

I have a white hyundai. And from what I've done to it, you might think it's a sports car (if you close your eyes).

Does he drive a two door now? What is he driving now and how much is it worth? The more the car is worth the higher the premium will be, and considering his age is below 20 its going to be up there. Since it is also a sports car that will not help too much, in regards to the premium.

his insurance will continuously go up until 22-25 depending on his driving record regardless of the car. if it's a sports car, consider it to be a decent increase on top of the annual increase he will see.

the model he is going to get only has 210 hp and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder though.

currently he is under his parents policy and his parents are buying the car and he just pays back his parents with no interest.

btw, the car is worth $22,000 MSRP

forgot add, he currently drives an 08 honda accord coupe (lol he is getting tired of seeing hondas on the road)

Yes because two door Hyundai's are a pain to insure.....
Ex. My Nissan is worth more, faster and newer than my old tiburon. Yet i pay about half as I did with my little tiburon.

Whenever I think of the original Tirubron, I think of clown cars.
