    Hey Guys,
Is the 2003 Mazda Protégé ES a reliable car than a Toyota Corolla S or a Honda Civic?
Should I buy this Mazda Protege? 2003 Mazda Protege ES
    Thanks Guys

Not bad, but for $10k, it's WAY over priced.

Agreed x100. OP for 10 grand you can do a LOT better.

For example, for half that price, you could get this: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/2987162879.html

No brainer right? (Given if it has a clean bill of health via a pre-purchase inspection...fairly cheap way to cover yourself and avoid a problem car) :p

The Protege is a decent small car, fairly entertaining to drive as well, much more so than a corolla, even the S trim.

I'd watch for rust though, but that goes for any car really.

That car should be no more than 5k tops, The Protege isn't really competitive at all against a Civic/Fit for THAT much money.

2008 HONDA FIT SPORT, 45k miles, Automatic, (gas saver) 34MPG

You can get a 08 Fit with 45k miles for under 10k. MUCH better car than the Protege, and gets way better fuel economy.

Looks clean, but $10k is a crack pipe (pardon my Jalop language) by a long shot. If negotiable down to $4k, maybe, just maybe.

Interesting...I like the Honda fit....or I could buy a Mazda 3 or 6 for 7k or 8k. Lexus..no thanks Btw that 2003 Mazda Protégé is worth 8.5k in the Kelley's blue book because of low mileage and excellent condition.
