turbo engines are actually very efficient, if not more efficient than alot of NA engines. now...what will make yur gas mileage goto crap is yur heavy right foot! :p to me, nothing compares to the sounds that a turbo engine makes. from the crazy spooling sound to the cute little whisper of a blow off valve *sigh*

there are alot of guys that have turbo'd the VG. k-tron pointed out some good facts tho. FI-equipped cars, from the factory, will usually have stronger engine designs to take the added stress. what i would do if i was in yur shoes is to just save up for right now. u always want to do things right the first time, so it will save u money and time later down the road. after u've saved up, u can decide on a new car or further modifyin the 300zx. if u choose to turbo yur 300zx, then i would definitely try to source a turbo motor. then modifyin that.

p.s. - stewie wears man purses.
