    Thanks, I'll investigate all-in-one machines.

    I did not know all touch screens were glossy.
    Which dell laptop do you have?

    EDIT: The All-In-One pc could work, I only need to move it from my bed to my desk. So something with an SSD should be fine.

    Dell Inspiron 17 7737.

    A decent enough machine but not without faults. Bright. Contrast is just good.
    Keyboard takes a lot of punishment, which was my main specification.

    Oh. There are a fair number of All-in-one's with touch screens.

    I'm seeing "anti-glare" on many displays - does that mean matte, and hence suboptimal video watching experience?

    Not sure. Anti-glare on a pair of glasses would mean a still glossy coating that minimises reflection.
