    LM hates any kind of gap, the contact really does have to be perfect.

    I got a vertical stand for it and it made all the difference. Gpu is now at 78C Max on 80% Fan CPU is at 64C Max on 60% fan.

    Were you using it on a bed or other surface with all the vents blocked?

    Raising up the back a little does help a lot too.

    it was on a laptop cooler on my computer desk. Its getting more air now vertically then with the damm cooler lol.

    Some coolers are badly designed and actually block off more than they help.
