    I mean anybody that can read a graph knows nVidia is just fluffing the appearance of the numbers. It's up to the consumer to be educated about what they buy and cut through all the marketing BS

    Yeah I'm not sure what to make of it. Mainly too because the 1080 isn't running lower clocks. If it were a mobile solution might that be otherwise...
    There's just the mobile cpu.. With a questionable desktop MB.. Are we missing something here @Dufus?

    Yeah, about 500 points, managed an 18k run with the i7-4700MQ and GTX-1080.

    The OP asked for benches so I gave him one just to give an idea what might be possible.

    Used to be parallel and serial ports came as standard with laptops. :D

    It's not two either, it's six. Two of which can be configured through BIOS to be either RS232 or RS485. BTW I use serial ports a lot, usually have to buy USB adapters. ;)

    Anyway a 3DMark11 performance bench comparison. Quite close really.
