I bought Toshiba NB305 for $240 last week. It was too good a deal to pass up, but now I think the screen is a little too small for me. I haven't even opened the box yet in case I need to return it.

I really like this $400 (local price) 11.6'' netbook.

For $160 more, I get an HD screen, twice the processing power, twice the RAM, the full version of Windows 7 and an HDMI output. Do you think I should return the 10'' and get the 11'' instead?

I'd head to a store like Best Buy and take a look at the Toshiba (at least the one near my house has one on display) so you can make a decision yourself.

If you really like the Gateway then go for it. You'll be able to do a lot more with it more comfortably. :)

The display is far more comfortable than the netbook, as is the keyboard. I have been running my business on an 11.6" 1410T for the past few months waiting for my new laptop. The gateway is almost identical to the Acer except for the single core CPU. I think the Gateway is a bit more stylish. It is well worth the extra money over the netbook.

After using a 9" and 10" netbook, I can safely say I would never use anything smaller than an 11.6", mainly for the keyboard. If you have tiny hands and fingers, then maybe a 10", but the keyboard is so dang cramped. Plus the larger screen can't hurt.

Hey BooBoo12 ... my favorite sweatshirt was a "Shippensburg State" sweatshirt that I "borrowed" from a friend that went there. I wore that thing untill it fell off me in a pile of thread.

Someone suggested the HP Mini 311. What do you guys think, Gateway/Acer 1410 or HP Mini 311? Thanks.

Depends on what you're gonna do. I owned and Acer 1410 for a short while. Nice machine. It has a powerful CPU (SU2300 / SU3500) compared with Atoms, but weaker GPU (Intel GMA 4500 vs nVidia ION).

If you want to game much, the Mini 311 is the better choice. For a quicker OS and multitasking experience, the 1410. Just make sure you go for the SU2300 dual core CPU.

The dual core is no longer available. No I don't play games much, only a few old games like Jardinains and space tripper.

Then I'd opt for a more powerful CPU, preferably dual core, over GPU then. Maybe consider the Toshiba T115D-S1125. It's AMD dual core, 11.6" with decent GPU, and $457 at amazon.com. See the review in my sig.
