I had purchased one of these when it was $1,200 earlier this year, but I found it to be too compromised to make it worth keeping. While I'm not particularly sensitive to ghosting on LCD monitors, it was quite bad on this one, and unfortunately it's a problem with all versions of this laptop that use this panel. Response times are nearly triple what they should be to offer a proper 120 Hz gaming experience. Further, my particular unit ran hot, the fans were loud, and despite following a battery tuning guide on reddit to the letter, I was unable to get more than about 5 hours out of it. It's a shame, too, because it otherwise has a lot going for it.

Another caveat with this laptop is the fingerprint reader. It basically doesn't work. I could only get it to recognize my finger one out of 10 times at best. I ended up removing biometric authentication in its entirety.
