Default How to add 3G WWAN+GPS on Z2?

Hi, can somebody help me find the parts I need to install 3G WWAN+GPS in my my Z2? I understand I need the WWAN board and the WWAN card itself. Does anybody know the part numbers? Also, I read the WWAN-enabled Z2s come with a Huawei EM680 card. Does it have a SIM slot? Will it work in the Philippines? Can I just order one on Ebay? And is there specific hardware for LTE? Lastly, does my Z2 come with an inactive WWAN antenna? Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you have a SIM slot on the back? The bottomchassis needs to have one in order to place the SIM. Unless you manage to fit the wwan board including SIM while the z2 is open...

Did you mean SIM tray? The plastic at the back doesn't have a hole. Anyway, maybe it's one of the parts I need. Do you have any other info? Thanks.

The thing is, that some Z2, which had not have WWAN factory installed didn't have a slot soldered on motherboard, so it is important to check, if you have the slot prepared.

IIRC, they have neither a SIM card slot, no WWAN antennae, WWAN daughterboard nor the required cable that connects it to the motherboard.

As someone who has internal WWAN on both my Z1 and Z2, and a phone with hotspot/tethering, I find it usually more convenient to use the phone (it's 4G LTE while the laptops only have 3G). True, you can't talk on the phone while being online - I think, I've actually never tried. But the other thing I don't get is what's so hard about using a USB modem? It's not exactly like having to lug around a PMD!
Sony Z's, HP/Dell workstations, old-fashioned tablet PCs and, yes, a couple of really cool tablets and Ultrabooks that are easy on the arthritic shoulders and kinda fun excuses for buying new tech toys! Secret weapon: Galaxy Note 2 smartphone w/WACOM [compatible] "S Pen." It's all I ever need these days
