2012 vaio s 15.5" model..question about windows experience index
i just received my 15.5" 3612 QM, 4gb ram notebook, nvidia 640 le 2gb. I have a question. My windows index score is coming out 4.6.
Graphics desktops performance for windows aero..is only coming out 4.6 and it seems everyone else has been getting higher numbers. I reran the index but still coming out with 4.6. I ran a search but the search doesn't not seem to work on this site.
Processor. 7.5
ram. 5.9
graphics 4.6
gaming graphics 6.8
hard disk. 5.9
Can someone with the same setup tell me your scores and why mine is low?

Re: 2012 vaio s 15.5" model..question about windows experience index
Is the graphics switch on Stamina or Speed? Speed activates the 640M LE. Stamina uses the intel integrated graphics.

Re: 2012 vaio s 15.5" model..question about windows experience index
It is on speed mode and I have the nvidia 640 le 2gb. the strange thing is that on speed mode it shows 4.6 and on stamina shows 4.9. I retested couple times.
Strange.

Does the ram have an effect on the score for graphics aero?

Re: 2012 vaio s 15.5" model..question about windows experience index
Hi all,
Shorty66, can you run 3D mark 06 in your Vaio S15 all in default settings (1280x1024)? Or maybe you have already run it and you remember your score
. I'm very interesting about buying this configuration. (i5/8Go/Full HD IPS)
I see in the configuration option that you can choose between a NVidia 640M 1Gb and a NVidia 640M LE 2 Gb.
The 640M is really a 640M? Or is a 640 M LE with only 1Gb? Because 640M is better than 640M LE. The 640M LE is just the same that 640M but with lower clock.
Thanks you in advance!
