Sony VAIO S series (VPCSC1AFM)
Is it possible to change out the HDD that comes included with this laptop with a SSD? I was planning on exchanging it with these possible SSDs and it seems like it could fit but I am not sure if the HDD that comes standard with this laptop will come out.
I DO NOT want to take out the Blu-ray drive by the way.

Re: Sony VAIO S series (VPCSC1AFM)
Thank you for the less than knowledgable and helpful responses! Apparently this section of the notebookreview is filled with people that do not own Sony Notebooks. I was hoping for a flood of responses to fill this thread given the sheer amount of activity that runs through these forums but the phelgmatic response is simply abhorrent to say the least.
Are these forums the desolate remains of what used to be a great quotidian for notebook information? Forgive me if I sound scurrilous but the previous posters sophmoric response is just abysmal.

...and your comment is rude at best but snobbish and irritating describe it best. The man answered your question with all the information it called for, in the fewest words needed to convey the information, no phlegm added.
Come to think of it, perhaps you should redirect your link from these "desolate remains" at NBR to this link.
Note to everyone else: check out and listen to this link; you'll be re-using it 100s and 100s of times for years and years. I've been using it for 25 years, and it never loses it's currency. Trust me, it's that good.

Sony Z's (Z13: i7/8GB/256GB/900p/WWAN; Z22: i7/8GB/256GB/FHD) , HP/Dell workstations, old-fashioned tablet PCs and, yes, a couple of really cool tablets and Ultrabooks that are easy on the arthritic shoulders and kinda fun excuses for buying new tech toys! Secret weapon: Galaxy Note 2 smartphone w/WACOM [compatible] "S Pen."
