Hmm, isn't that what the new Windows 7 taskbar does?

That Vaio software looks horrendous with the big chunky bar at the top of the screen. In that link it's being demonstrated on a Vista machine so like I was saying, I don't really see a need for it.

It depends on how you use it. I like it very much.

I drag all my desktop icon into the bar (normally it just show a small black bar on the top), so my desktop is clean with my wall paper changing every minute that showing the pictures that i took. Just like a picture frame.

When I want to run a program, just move the mouse near the bar it pop out and you click the icon of the program you want to run.

You can do the same, if not better, with software like Rocketdock and Objectdock.

A bit OT but in that second link I noticed that along with this Vaio Gate software there is a software called Vaio Movie Story, and Picture Motion browser(only see the updates) is there a link to where I can get the latest version of those software?

I like the idea of Vaio Gate if I was still on Vista, or XP, but as aforementioned Windows 7 already has a similar feature built in.
Sony Vaio TT-160N 4gb of ram.
