    Have you tried from a different player? VLC or Windows Media Player? Could be just the software

    Umm havent yet
    how do you play 'normal dvd' format with VLC or media player though?

    Like, if its just .avi or .mpeg format, all i do
    is just drag the particular file to the player.

    But this;
    its like 2 main folder in the DVD
    AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS

    right-click on the file and select "open with..." (and then obviously the player you want to open it with).

    Have you tried playing a DVD without a DTS soundtrack - e.g. Dolby Digital 5.1 instead? The error seems to be saying that WinDVD can't decode DTS...

    But in case you only have one DVD to hand, it's rare that a disc only uses DTS, because of just this type of scenario. Try using the disc menu (or player menu) to select an alternative audio track which doesn't use DTS encoding.
