Re: Official Sony SB/SA/SC/SD Series Owners' Thread
when I'm in speed mode the fan keeps always on... that doesn't happens in stamina mode, for obvious reasons. My question is, with the new bios does it stop spinning that much in speed mode?

Re: Official Sony SB/SA/SC/SD Series Owners' Thread
Even when my laptop is freezing cold (not used for a couple hours, ambient temp near 40F), the fan is always spinning. Or that could be the 5400RPM. I guess I'll know when I replace it with a SSD.

Re: Official Sony SB/SA/SC/SD Series Owners' Thread
I ordered a custom SA
i5 2520M, 13.3 " (1600x900), 500gb harddrive, AMD Radion HD 6630 (1gb), 4gb ram, blu-ray player, Windows 7 Professional.
I was looking to replace my dead XPS M1330 notebook this seemed to be the closest that I could find that didn't seem too flimsy. I purchased one from the Sony store in town but it had the lower resolution screen so I returned it and bought on line instead.Last edited by jabbok; 28th October 2011 at 10:16 AM.

Re: Official Sony SB/SA/SC/SD Series Owners' Thread
Yeah, I got my M11xR1 and R2 in hopes of replacing my dead M1210 (T5600 + GeFroce 7400 Go FTW!!), but eventually, I've finally accepted my Vaio SA as the true successor (SC was a nice unit, though). I wish Dell's only remaining design team - the XPS team - would actually do something useful, instead of the ugly forward hinge designs they have been pumping out. Not to mention, there are no longer any hidden gems in the ultraportable range from Dell
It seems like only Apple and Sony are taking the Ultraportable range seriously, and only Sony also involves high end GPU performance (though I rarely play games as of late
). Maybe adding in Samsung will jump start the market for small powerhouses again
