mimix, do you experience these problems both in Stamina as well as Speed mode? I am not sure, but is this related to the new Bios that was released?

    @ mimix:

Did not try your steps yet, but I can confirm that I've been having this problem too once in a while (in Speed mode).

Also annoying problem with the screen resolution resetting to 1024 x 768 instead of the 1280 x 800 after (almost every) hibernation.

I have the extra large lithium battery. I have to say it is really nice. Yes, it is a bit more heavy and obtrusive (sp?). But its nice in that it does lift the back of the notebook for better angle and adds airflow. The batter time for me has been around 10 hours with wifi on and in stamina mode max battery life.

Just got mine today, a 680, pretty nice. Waiting on a 2gb stick from newegg. Quick question though, does anyone else have a creak on top region of the lcd? Like the plastic frame area left of the webcam?

Just recieved my SZ61XN/C. I can not see any signs of the yellow band issue, but a slight light leakage at the bottom. The machine is working as crazy and I need to wipe this horrible factory install asap.

I think the slight light leakage at the bottom, when the screen is dark, is normal.

My SZ had it, my TZ had it and any picture i saw of others had it.

Yes i think its the nature of LED. It doesnt bother me, i was more concerned about getting dead pixels or the yellow stripes, but i had none of those.

I have that bit of light leakage also, so I think it's on all of them.

Mine has a very small amount of light leakage on the bottom of the screen, every notebook I have ever owned has some, and I have owned a ton of notebooks. The worst by far was my dell m1210, it literally had light leakage over 80% of the screen, even looking at it straight on, the light leakage was so bad that you could barely see what you were typing, games were completely unplayable, that POS was my first and last dell.

Does anyone else get a high pitch buzzing noise from their lcd? I get it when I switch from any brightness other than max. Also, after a few days of using my laptop, my touchpad doesn't work properly. when I double tap, the double click function no longer works. I would have to restart the laptop in order for it to be fixed. This happened 2x already, but I have no clue what triggers it.
