Including POST?

On my G73, it takes about 25 secs from the moment i press the power button, POST, windows, password login and launching my browser.

Long POST, windows and a 16char password login is what I was timing.

Yeah, probably depends on the laptop. I can boot from cold to a useable desktop in 18 seconds flat (automatically log in) with the 330 (use to be ~24 with the 320).

Thanks! Boots and shuts down pretty fast. If I did fast post and no password I would see a lot faster booting. But for now I can barely blink and I'm in windows as well as all applications from ms office and browsers to visual studio and Autodesk MEP open instantly and I mean instantly.

Was it worth it? Hell yeah. Do I have the fastest boot times? No, but I wasn't going for the record boot time, just snappier application opening and the ability to maximize my space without losing the optical drive. Mission accomplished.
