It comes with a 3-Year warranty from one of the biggest companies/brands/HDD and SSD manufacturers in the world.

I'd be happy enough with that, personally.

Would this SSD be limited by HM65 chipset?

The HM65 has SATA III ports, so the answer is no.

I wish Amazon would hurry up and get these in stock. I had a pre-order for a 256Gb drive which didn't ship even after Newegg got them in stock. I've cancelled the order and ordered a 512GB one now but the waiting is driving me insane!

I feel yah on Amazon. I got fed up with waiting for them qnd instead I placed my order with Newegg. Just yesterday night actually! My WD Scorpio Black 750GB drive arrived yesterday so I'm hoping that newegg will come thru in time....

At psychppomp1....did you notice significant performance increase in day to day usage? Boot up time etc?

Oh yeah...this baby smokes likes hell! Previously my thinkpad x220 used to take around 20 sec to boot to Win 7... with the samsung 830 256gb, its now less than 12 sec Also programs like Autocad 2012 open instantly, not taking around 3-5 sec like before. Not a single BSOD so far and i'm not expecting any in its lifetime. Oh yeah, battery life has also increased from 9 hrs to 11 hrs on my thinkpad (9 cell battery). IMHO its the best thing since sliced bread

UnfortunatelyI can't order from Newegg as my card is registered in the UK. This isn't an issue with most companies, but Newegg insist on a US registered card even though Im in the US And want it shipped to the US. They wouldn't even accept Paypal as my account is a UK one!

Awesome news! Thanks for the response.

That sucks chez on the newegg thing. I love Amazon and I have Prime as well but I couldn't wait forever for them to get the Samsung 830 in stock so I used my gift cards and some promo credit given to me by a rep to get my secondary HDD (the Scorpio Black). Anyways I hope Amazon gets it soon for your sake.
