As far as i know that clicking is the magnetic head that reads data from the platter moving around so i dont see how you could "fix" that.

I've never had a clicking hard drive myself but I've seen many other people who had it and fixed it with tools like hdparm and Quiethdd.

    Clicking Noise issue *resolved*

I already tried some of those, but its not helping. I can still hear the silent, but annoying clicks and the low frequency vibrations the HD is giving off... My only choice is to buy another SSD. Now that i know how quiet things can be i got spoiled and cant live with the unnecessary noise anymore .

Don´t buy Vertex 2, wait for Vertex 3! Well, but then you can also wait for Vertex 4 or Vertex 5

Nah I only got Sata 2 interface so I want a drive that will max out that interface and give me a decent amount of capacity for a good price. OCZ vertex 4 and 5 might be overkill but then again ocz 4 might bring some nice price drops in price/capacity ratio!

Any news on G4, or G5 (which is when I upgrade my G2)? We close yet to having SSD's standard in notebooks?

I hope Nordic Hardware was wrong...

Both Intel and SandForce confirmed that Intel 25nm Flash is due to be released in Q4 2010 and should bring improvements in both density and performance.
