Re: SSD Thread (Benchmarks, Brands, News, and Advice)
That might be difficult. From what I've heard, a lot of the delays with the G3s were controller issues, so they might be having some difficulty matching or exceeding current offerings.

Re: SSD Thread (Benchmarks, Brands, News, and Advice)
Given OCZ's track record, I'd pony up a bit more for the new Intel 510 series..
Are we certain the G3 are delayed?

I have nothing but good experiences with two OCZ SSDs. And their support forums are very good.

Re: SSD Thread (Benchmarks, Brands, News, and Advice)
How do OCZ deal with the TRIM feature that Intel tools have?

Re: SSD Thread (Benchmarks, Brands, News, and Advice)
Intel's new 510 series 4k writes/reads are not that impressive. I want to buy one, but going to wait till they deliver first stable FW update. Just to make sure they are not going to screw it with new chipset(Marvell) updates.

Re: SSD Thread (Benchmarks, Brands, News, and Advice)
My OCZ Vertex 2 has been great, despite the fact that it died the first six weeks after I got it. OCZ replaced it promptly. I'm strongly considering the Vertex 3 after everything shakes out with all the new SSD's coming out.
