That might be difficult. From what I've heard, a lot of the delays with the G3s were controller issues, so they might be having some difficulty matching or exceeding current offerings.

Given OCZ's track record, I'd pony up a bit more for the new Intel 510 series..

Are we certain the G3 are delayed?

Well, considering that they were initially supposed to be released last fall... and then February... and we're still waiting... but no, I don't know of any actual further delays beyond the current ones at present.

I have nothing but good experiences with two OCZ SSDs. And their support forums are very good.

How do OCZ deal with the TRIM feature that Intel tools have?

Intel's new 510 series 4k writes/reads are not that impressive. I want to buy one, but going to wait till they deliver first stable FW update. Just to make sure they are not going to screw it with new chipset(Marvell) updates.

They have pretty hit & miss track record....so not recommend unless you have a better deal.

My OCZ Vertex 2 has been great, despite the fact that it died the first six weeks after I got it. OCZ replaced it promptly. I'm strongly considering the Vertex 3 after everything shakes out with all the new SSD's coming out.
