haha. well, i'm quite unexcited to buy another ssd right now. money pressure doesn't really support it..
then again, the mtron on it's own isn't that funny.. the raid0 made it much faster (the mtron doesn't have 10 parallel lanes, like the intel.. so i quite often hit a parallelization-limit on them, which the controller made invisible).

well well.. not in a good mood anyways.. it's monday!

nah, just get intel mlc.. more bang for the buck. i currently use slcs, and intels. i like the intel more. memory type is unimportant (and yes, i believed otherwise for a long long time). the only thing that matters is what the controller makes out of them.

yea, I am thinking about get 160G intel for OS and program disk, and samsung 256 to be the backup disk.... coz intel 4k random is really good. I was thinking about get Solidata 64G SLC ssd coz the price is really cheap, only $350 or so, but 64G is not enough for me.

    ronan_zj,

64GB is not enough for anyone IMO that actually uses a computer to produce output.

I just tried a Torqx 64GB SSD and when empty, I was smiling like a cat that swallowed the canary, but when it was just over 50% filled, the performance dropped like a rock (19MB/s anyone?) even though Anand says that Indilinx based controllers stay consistent as they fill, that's not what I have found in my own use.

And, this is with a TRIM aware O/S (Win 7) and TRIM aware firmware for the drive too. (very sad... )

Hmmm, worringly it seems to be saying that my Intel drive doesn't support TRIM -

Hi, I need a lil help.

My windows is noticeably slower starting from yesterday.
like when i browse my folders...the spinning thing appears for a second before the folder opens. I know it's not THAT slow, but still.
I have windows 7 ultimate on 160 G2 intel drive.
the drive is not full. I've only used up like 80GB. and windows was installed less than a month ago.
is there any maintenance or something i can do?
