Marking threads as read when they're not
Not sure if this is WAD or a bug, but whatever: it's irritating!
I don't spend as much time as I'd like reading forums, and now that my Acer notebook seems to be optimized, the NBR forum seems to suffer the most from my inattention.
Today I logged on to the forum to see that I "last visited: 04-23-2012 at 11:19 AM," however, all forums and messages were considered read from somewhere between 9pm and 11pm on 05-16-2012.
That meant I had to manually scroll through all threads (sometimes moving to earlier pages) to find the *real* first unread message.
Here's a screen shot showing the discrepancy between "last visited" date being weeks before the "first unread" threads:Acer Travelmate TM8172T | 11.6" | i3-380UM 1.33Ghz
8GB RAM | 256 GB Samsung 830 SSD

We're having some issues with the forum right now (which you've undoubtedly noticed) and that's probably one of the unfortunate results of that.
Admins are working on fixing the issues as we speak.

That is actually normal; past a certain point in the past, all threads are marked as read. I think it's a week or so.
