It's extremely hard on hot threads like recent BF3 thread when people post 10 pages per day now since the beta started
does it matter they have identified it? 2 weeks and no fix.

    Hi,

I also got the same problem. Clicked the link in the email notification to read the first new post but instead taken to older post. I just upgraded from Firefox 3 to Firefox 7 yesterday. This problem doesn't occurred with Firefox 3 though. If I'm not mistaken the problem happen because forum.notebookreview.com's cookies failed to update. It should updated everytime we visited the thread to read new post.

I noticed Admin already identified the problem. I hope they able to sorted it out soon (preferably very soon ).

it's actually taking quite a long time, shouldn't be something that hard to fix since it was working fine all this time

I'd just like to report that for me the 'go to first new post' feature has worked since I upgraded to firefox 8 beta. It also works for me on firefox 3... but that's a bit outdated now, I realize.

I seriously doubt this is a firefox related issue. It seems a site bug to me.

I dunno what to tell you, it works for me now.

It must have something to do with cookie handling and/or the javascript engine. Some pages back someone mentioned it was a bug in vbulletin, but I didn't find that thread they mentioned.

I've cleared all my notebookreview cookies. Still the damn mind blowing problem. Using firefox 8 beta. Certainly it has something to do with vbulletin or perhaps the site itself.

I have found a workaround for firefox 7 and wrote a greasemonkey script.

Requirements: Firefox 7 (or later) and the greasemonkey addon.

Download firefox: Firefox web browser | International versions: Get Firefox in your language

Install greasemonkey and then restart firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir.../greasemonkey/

    Here is the script:

    nbrnewpost.user.js

Click 'download' and then a dialog box will show up, and click 'install'.

Your new post links should then work.
